Fish Farm in Shelby North Carolina

In 2008 utilizing recycled materials we constructed four 2,500 gallon tanks in our largest Greenhouse. We then began the process of raising Tilapia and Blue Gill in our fish farm. At any given time we have between 750 -1000 fish growing in these tanks. Eventually we will harvest the fish for use in various dish’s in our restaurant. We will also sell these fish to the public.

A natural waste by-product of the fish is “fish emulsion” which we collect on a regular basis. This product is then used as an all natural fertilizer for the various plants in the greenhouse and in our gardens. This is an ongoing 5-7 month process depending on the species of fish.
