Meet Our Critters!

Below are some, not all, of our miniature animals:

You can come see and pet our miniature animals by coming to one of our events, at an Educational Farm Tour, or when renting our facility to have your own event like a Birthday Party. Or, we can bring the animals to you!

Franklin the Desert Tortoise
Franklin

Franklin is our desert tortoise. He will grow to nearly 150 pounds once he matures at 22 years of age. Franklin could live to be up to 200 years old. Franklin doesn’t drink water like the other animals. He intakes all he needs from the veggies and fruits he eats. Franklin loves watermelons and squash.

In the winter Franklin lives in the habitat we have built for him which helps to keep the temperature at or around 80 degrees. Franklin loves to herd the pigs. This curious behavior is fun for all to watch.

Fuzzy the Alpaca
Fuzzy

Fuzzy is a red & white Alpaca. Q-Tip (below) is also an Alpacas. They stand between 38 and 42 inches tall. Similar to Llamas they are camelids. They prefer a diet of grains and grasses.

Primarily they are used for wool production and are sheared at least annually. Their wool is prized as a very high quality material for garments and other woven fabrics. While they are known to sometimes spit, which is their only natural defense, they rarely do.

Q-Tip the Alpaca
Q-Tip
Q-Tip was born around 2000 and is a gelding Alpaca. He is solid white and like Fuzzy is curious about new things. Like Fuzzy Q-Tip's only defense mechanism is spitting when he's frightened.
Sugar the miniature goat
Sugar
Sugar is one of our most impressive ambassadors. Sugar is a miniature goat. The minute she sees someone coming to the fence she has to investigate and everyone else follows. She loves to be scratched, talked to, and be fed by hand. She loves kids.
Thorn the miniature ram
Thorn
Thorn is our miniature ram, gentle but nothing to mess with! He oversees his herd of two ewes, Dandelion & Amber.
Amber the miniature sheep (Ewe)
Amber
Amber is a miniature sheep (Ewe). She likes to hang out with her best friend Dandelion and her boyfriend Thorn. She is content eating grass and checking out curious things in the barn lot. She, like all sheep, does not like loud noises!
El Toro the miniature Zebu bull
Isabella
Isabella loves to be bottle fed and his favorite thing to do is hang with his buddy Donkey Donkey. Isabella is a miniature Zebu bull and when mature will only be 30 to 32 inches tall.
Charlotte the miniature pot belly pig
Charlotte

Charlotte is a pot bellied pig. She stands about 12 inches from the ground. While it has been observed that pigs love to roll in the mud, they only do so to keep cool. Given the opportunity to be clean and groomed Charlotte and Wilbur, her male counterpart, prefer a clean and pleasant environment. Over the last 25 years scientist have used pig tissue and organs in human transplants. Their diet is varied and will eat most anything you put before them.

Charlotte enjoys visits to events like Alive After Five, church events, schools, and more... and especially likes to go shopping at Lowes and Pet Smart. She just loves being anywhere she can meet kids.

Wilbur the miniature pot belly pig
Wilbur
Wilbur is a miniature pot belly big who likes to eat! So, we have to control the amount of food he gets. Wilbur likes to root in the dirt and will eat nearly anything. When he wags his tail you'll know he's happy. Wilbur loves being talked to and kids. He likes to walk around on his leash and meet new people.
Dandelion the miniature sheep (ewe)
Dandelion
Dandelion is a miniature sheep (ewe). Likes to hang out with her friend Amber and her boyfriend Thorn. Like most of our critters, she's very tame and loves to be fed by children.
Donkey Donkey the miniature donkey
Donkey Donkey
Donkey Donkey is his name, and yes, he's a donkey. But, he's not just any ole donkey, he's a miniature donkey who likes to hang with his best friend, El Toro the miniature Zebu bull. He especially likes to have his neck scratched and loves to meet new people.
Isabella the miniature Zebu
El Toro

El Toro is a miniature Zebu calf. When fully grown she should be less than 30 inches tall. She likes to hang with her girlfriend Isabella. Hopefully in about 2 years the two of them will produce more Zebus.
