All year round we hold public events at HarvestWorks. Events are either seasonal, celebrating fall or spring, or thematic to a specific holiday like Christmas and Halloween. Each event at HarvestWorks is different and each year we add a little something new to every event.
Below are examples of some of the events we may offer every year. You may print this calendar via our events calendar above. Please understand that all of this is tenative, so check back for updates or be sure to join our mailing list (at the bottom of the page) to get updates on events and news about HarvestWorks.
Spring Farm Tour
(May 15th 2010; 10 am to 4 pm)
This is a special day for the public to see what's new at HarvestWorks and what we do for School Farm Tours. This is a grand opening type of event held annually to bring in the new year of festivities at HarvestWorks. Lots of family fun, live music, food, vendors, Tram ride, gem mining, petting zoo, puppet show, moon bounce, and more... Bring the kids and have a blast!
Flag Day Ceremony
(June 14th times to be announced)
Honoring Our Veterans, HarvestWorks brings you a special patriotic presentation held by our consumers and honor guard. Snacks will be available and entertainment such as singing and access to the petting zoo. Local Veterans are honored and offered free snacks and refreshment. Special thanks to “Woodman of the World” for donating a 5’8” US Flag and a 30’ flag pole to HarvestWorks.
Kid Friendly Halloween Trail Ride
(2010 Dates: October 22nd, 23rd, 29th, and 30th; 5:30 pm to 9 pm)
Costs:
Kid Friendly Halloween Trail Ride:
$5 each person
(Children 2 & under free but must ride on a parents' lap)
Meals:
$4 each
(Hot dog, chips, tea)
Children and their families will enjoy a Halloween ride on a trailer pulled by a tractor through a kid friendly Halloween trail. Trail features characterizations of:
Thomas & Friends, Sponge Bob, Spiderman, Hulk, Hannah Montana, Cinderella, Dora, Pirates of the Caribbean, Charlotte’s Web, Barney, Care Bears, Scooby Doo, 3 Little Pigs, Candy Land, Barbie, Harry Potter, and more…

Petting Zoo
Outside of being able to access the petting zoo through our various events, farm tours, and birthday parties; the petting zoo is also open to the public during certain times of the year. Join our newsletter to get information about specific dates and times:
Typically open on Saturdays starting April through October from 9am to 1pm. Cost is $2 per child, adults with children get in free (pricing may change).
